We'll reserve judgement until we actually see a working model, but after weeks of official denials and rhetoric these mockups make us say, "That's it?"
C'mon guys, a redesign is just that, revisiting the original and tackling it from a different approach. Look at the drastic differences between the Game Boy Advance, the Game Boy Advance SP and the Game Boy Micro. This Nintendo DS - Lite isn't a redesign, its a tweak.

At this week's staff meeting we were discussing the next generation of systems and what will and will not be playable at this year's E3 conference. Long story short, (click "More..." for the long story), HCG Paco bet HCG Kaelnin $50 the Playstation 3 wouldn't launch in the spring, in either Japan or the US. Only time will tell, but frankly Kaelnin was the only one who thinks otherwise and once Paco started it, everyone wanted a piece of the action. Any other takers?
