Yahoo is reporting that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is upset with the upcoming "Mercenaries 2" game. Had this taken place in Iraq and it was penned by Tom Clancy no one would've given a shit. But since it takes place in Venezuela than clearly there is enough cause for alarm to say this: "In the U.S., "it sends a message to Americans: You have a danger next door, here in Latin America, and action must be taken," she said. "It's a justification for an imperialist aggression." Frankie says relax Hurley, you need to take a lesson from the Germans. You don't see them sending out the law dogs every time a new Medal of Honor hits the shelves. C'mon, lighten man. It's only a game.

The Xbox 360 in our offices here in Pittsburgh has started his own blog. You can read the Paco's Xbox 360 blog here. We met the owner's of the site that translates the data into a blog on the Xbox Blogger Bus while we were all salivating over Assassin's Creed. It was great actually meet the folks over at 360Voice.com because their service is free and really unique, plus the posts that our Xbox 360 comes up with are funny as hell!
Basically once you sign up, (its free, quit bitching), the site will track when your Xbox 360 is on and what its doing, then it'll parse that data and generate a post around that specific content. Much like the Hardcore Gamer, the Hardcore Gamer Xbox 360 blog has some edge to it, way to go guys!

Since the E3 explosion when our traffic doubled and has stayed consistantly high we had a choice to make and we made it. We decided to go to a full-blown dedicated server, HCG Ayin (our CTO and resident Flight Sim gamer) and Crispy worked long hours to make it possible, so we thank them officially for all to see. However, the upgrade is the reason we haven't launched our E3 coverage, so now that everything is in order look for our exclusive E3 wrap-up late this week. With the new bandwith we can really take advantage of our high-end capabilities. Expect more reviews, more content and brand new, exclusive trailers and videos of your favorite upcoming games. It's all happening...
