Collectors Showcase: Mana Khemia - Limited Edition Scholarship Box Set
Shelf Life By HCG Musashi on 3/31/2008 7:42 PM

Just shipping out today, the Mana Khemia - Limited Edition Scholarship Box Set is sure to be an instant collectible and high-ticket item on eBay in the next few days. When I first saw this available for pre-order on RosenQueen.com, I thought I was in Japan for a second - U.S. gamers never get these opportunites. Needless to say, I jumped on my pre-order right there and then.

Good thing I did. The Box Set was limited to a extremely low run of 1,000 - the amount printed alone makes it a high-grade gaming collectible, let alone the fact that it's actually packed with some good shit:
  • The game (duh)
  • Soundtrack CD w/ mini poster
  • Bundle Set Box (Holds Game, Poster and Soundtrack)
  • Exclusive Study Hall Jess Figure
  • Special Collector's Box
Not bad for $49.99 + shipping. Unfortunately they are sold out on the RosenQueen site, so if you are in the hunt for one, I'd be hitting up eBay starting tomorrow.

City of Heroes / City of Villains Update
Massive Load By HCG Dreadsorrow on 3/31/2008 4:13 PM

Doctor Brainstorm has revealed to the folks at GameZone the details on a major update to the great superhero MMO. Read the details on the many new powers that will soon be available to the cloaked and leotarded denizens of Paragon City.

As if there wasn't enough awesome stuff in the game already, now with the new additions, there is even more reason than ever to give the game a try. This game might be a few years old, but it has only gotten better as time goes on.

Speaking for myself, I can easily state that COH/COV is one of the best MMOs on the market. The grind may be a bit stiff in the upper levels, but there is so much to do and different hero/villain combos to try, you will be in comic-inspired nirvana for quite some time.

This is one of the few MMOs that I can give the coveted HCG Dreadsorrow blessing of "Definately Worth Playing".

Get your grubby paws on the "Good Versus Evil Edition", and you get both titles in one. This one is worth trying!

Fan Made DoA vs Final Fantasy
The Soap Box By HCG Paco on 3/30/2008 1:40 AM

Really impressive. Plus it FEELS like a Final Fantasy battle, especially the scene where everyone is sliding down the temple side. Brilliantly done, well directed.

First Look Video: Operation Darkness for Xbox 360
Shelf Life By HCG Musashi on 3/29/2008 8:32 PM
I mentioned earlier in the week that Atlus is publishing the impressive Strategy RPG, Operation Darkness, in the U.S. (June 25th to be exact). Here's a first look at the U.S. version showcasing Alexander Vlado, a bas-ass Vampire SS Nazi.

Assorted Crap About Warhammer Online
Massive Load By HCG Dreadsorrow on 3/27/2008 7:26 PM
For as much press as this game gets, it had better either pwn everything ever created for the amusement of humans since the spectacles of Rome, or else it is the most overhyped piece of shit since since the Segway Human Transporter.

For you sheep out there that only like a game because it is popular on the fanboi forums, here is some assorted mecrob on this ing game already.

Warcry Network has an interview with EA Mythic General Manager Mark Jacobs posted, regarding the Warhammer Online Delay

IGN does a hands on preview of Warhammer Online, and breaks it up to cover 4 pages, so they get more ad revenue for the shitload of advertisements on their pandering, nose-up-the-developers'-ass game site.

Another ad-revenue whore of a game site, Gamespy PC has details on the recently revealed (yawn) Warhammer Online Collector's Edition.

That's enough for tonight. I'm going to do something more interesting than look for more fanboi nipple tweaks on a game that i care less about than the dingleberries stuck to my ass hairs. Let others wait anxiously for this game to come out later this year. I don't give a .

Atlus announces U.S. release of Operation Darkness
Shelf Life By HCG Musashi on 3/27/2008 6:18 PM

As I've said before, Atlus has been on a publishing rampage so far in 2008 - and with the announcement of 3 more titles just this week - it looks like they'll be cranking out the titles right into the Fall (at least for now).

Of the 3 titles announced this week (all of which kick ass), the one that I have been waiting patiently for is Operation Darkness. Something about fighting undead / vampiric Nazis with British Special Forces / Werewolves in WWII era Europe makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

So if you enjoy Werewolves vs. Undead Nazi's (who doesn't?), then keep an eye out on XBox Live May 5th for a playable demo. The full game isn't far behind with a release date of June 25th.

Visit the official Operation Darkness website
