Leave it to SQUARE again to ignore us and focus on the Japan again. Check your local comic shop if you are interested, we pulled this from this month's Previews. Yes, I said comic shop. There is no chance in hell you'll see this at a Gamestop or a Gamecrazy. This work of art will set you back $420 bones. While that may seem steep, it is still cheaper than a sealed copy of Valkrie Profile for PS2.

If you are a fan of or remember the original Nintendo advertising, you know that the structure of this spot is dead on. Nit pickers may say that the graphics would have been better and kind of resemble Atari 7800 graphics. But, those people are nerds. Sorry nerds.
*P.S. Why can't you shoot Heroin in GTA? Or any drug for that matter? Saint's Row did it, but that may be because Jack Thompson has never played Saint's Row so the media ignored it?

I'm guessing that the traffic that took down the PSN today started late last night. Figuring that no one would be playing the Metal Gear Solid Online last night and knowing that Musashi said it would take awhile I started the process around 7pm.
At 12:03am I finished installing the last update. Only to find that my Konami ID wasn't valid somehow. So after 5 hours, I didn't even get to try it. Every cloud has a silver lining, so here are the two things I learned.
- No matter what PSN says, the torrent is slower.
- The user interface for the Konami ID site sucks ass.
Get yours early, you'll need it come June.

Just off the top of my head, GTA IV deserves an Oscar. |

So far at least. The single player feels like a movie but plays like a game. The voice acting is great from what we've played and the story has got me hooked. Physics have changed our gaming world, I said it along time ago and again in the Tomb Raider review, but GTA has taken us to where we should've been all along. Things generally interact and work they way do in the real world and while that seems simple, you'll find yourself saying "Why haven't they done this before?" I dare you not to laugh the first time that you are in a piece of shit ride and you ram head first into a wall, projecting your character through the broken windshield and onto the asphalt.
The multiplayer is the most vicseral thing I've played in a long time. Probably since Unreal Tournament or Counter-strike. We just wrapped up an HCG room with 3 of us on a whim that was supposed to last 5 minutes for a peek and instead lasted for an hour. I'd rather be playing than talking about playing, so I'll be back tomorrow with my first impressions.
*If you are looking for a game, add one of us and we'll set something up.

Is the iPhone/iPod Touch the new Wii? |

The graphics already look better than 90% of all Wii games that aren't published by Nintendo. Plus, Apple's digital distribution capabilities make all other bow before it. It is is easily hackable and has a camera for personalization and customization as well as wifi and internet features. I know it has been mentioned before, but it is a cool idea and possibility for sure. In fact, isn't it the only media that Apple doesn't have a dominant marketshare in?

Really impressive. Plus it FEELS like a Final Fantasy battle, especially the scene where everyone is sliding down the temple side. Brilliantly done, well directed.
