Unless you were living under a rock during the 2008 CES in Las Vegas, or perhaps filing another frivolous lawsuit against a game developer, you heard all about the OOs and AAhs over Emotiv's mind-controller for video games (www.emotiv.com).
Why should you watch this? If this technology works as Emotiv says it does, and there is every indications that it does, this is going to make the insanity around the introduction of the Wii look like a sale of granny panties at Walmart.
With the EPOC headset, you also get EmoKey, which is the software that will according to the Emotiv website "...enabling you to map any keystroke pattern to a detection from the Emotiv EPOC. Giving you the power to replay any of your favorite games with completely different interactivity."
Personally, this gets me so excited that I might mess my shorts. Although I hope that i dont have to wind up thinking of Hillary Clinton's boobs just to switch weapons in Unreal Tournament.
